Rustic Harvest

Close your eyes and picture it! The date is September 21, the first day of fall, and you find yourself in an orchard in time for the latest apple harvest. The smells of apple are as crisp as the coolness in the air. As you are walking among the trees that are bursting at the seams with fresh fruit, you look out and before you is the ripest, plumpest and reddest apple you have ever seen. You reach up and pick it off the tree. You can’t wait to sink your teeth into this perfect fruit so you immediately take a bite and on the inside, it is snow white. There is nothing better.

It doesn’t matter how cliché it is, but once the air turns cool, there is something about picking fresh apples from an orchard and enjoying fresh apple cider, makes the sentimentality of the season shine through. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water and I can’t wait for the season to makes its way around once again.

This painting is a 8” x 10” unframed. My name is signed on the lower right and is framed in a 1.25″ (3.81 cm) solid wood frame of distressed gray and copper. The finished size is 9″ x 12″ (22.86 cm x 30.48 cm) and is ready-to-hang.
