Great Pumpkin

Nothing says “Fall is near” like the sight of a pumpkin. For decades, the official symbol for Fall and Halloween has been the pumpkin. From before the first Thanksgiving until today, pumpkins have been an icon for the harvest season. Whether they appear in elegant fall décor, carved with an evil face in a scary Halloween display, the flavor of your favorite latte or tea, or baked into a pie, pumpkins are everywhere. Love them or hate them, pumpkins are a symbol of abundance and prosperity and create a feeling of nostalgia for seasons past.

This artwork features a beautifully ripe, medium-sized orange pumpkin. The pumpkin’s surface is slightly textured with subtle ridges and bumps that catch the light, creating subtle shadows. The orange hue is warm and inviting, reminiscent of the vibrant colors of autumn. Placed against a backdrop of a textured browns, it symbolizes the nostalgia of harvest seasons of the past, conjuring memories of crisp, fall days and the anticipation of Halloween. Details About the Piece: This piece is sealed in epoxy resin that gives the painting a mirror-like” finish, with UV protection to protect against sunlight and fading. The piece is signed on the lower right and is backed with a 1/8″ thick piece of black felt to add stability and protect the piece from chipping or breaking.
